      <image:title>Home - “This is hard to say…”</image:title>
      <image:caption>It’s natural to have questions when you are looking for a therapist. Sometimes it’s hard to reach out for help. After all, this is not how you hoped it would be. Does any of this sound like you? You’re anxious, depressed and/or irritable. Things aren’t going well with your family. Something awful happened, and now you can’t seem to get back on track. You keep trying, but just can’t figure out how to make the changes you want. Something is missing and you’re wondering if this is all there is. Anyone at any age can grow. Any moment is a good moment to put your best foot forward.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Finding a therapist is about finding the right match.</image:title>
      <image:caption>I understand that people look for counseling needing and wanting different things. I’ve helped many people to feel better, to make decisions they’re proud of, and to build relationships they love.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Individual psychotherapy is a place for us to focus on you. It’s a place to say what you need to say and get the support you need. You want someone who’s easy to talk to, but who knows what they’re talking about. I work primarily with adults, but have some availability to work with adolescents.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>You love someone, and so you try to make a place for them in your life. But sometimes it’s not an easy fit, or sometimes friction leads to wear and tear. If it’s worth building your life around a relationship, then why not get some help with maintaining it? Couples counseling gives you and your partner space to take care of your relationship so you can keep caring for and about each other.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Individual Therapy - I help people get unstuck.</image:title>
      <image:caption>In my practice, I help clients to understand themselves better. This often helps them to understand other people better, and that typically leads to having better, more satisfying relationships. Therapy becomes a place where you work through any fears of judgment, or the consequences of making mistakes, or saying the wrong thing as you open up in the otherwise messy process of learning and growing as a human being.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Me - Hi, I’m Jeff.</image:title>
      <image:caption>I help people feel better about their lives and make the changes they want. What I love about my work is helping people to be and become the people they want to be. If we want to make good decisions moving forward, then we need to look at what brought us to this moment. That’s easier said than done because some of what brought us here may not be the best version of ourselves. It’s hard to change what you can’t acknowledge. How are you supposed to pay attention to things you weren’t aware of— or didn’t want to notice in the first place? That’s where therapy comes in and how I can help. Looking at life’s mess is hard work— so hard that we often can’t do it without the support of someone we trust. Maybe I can be that person for you. My pronouns are he/him/his.</image:caption>
    </image:image>

      <image:title>About Me - Why choose to work with me?</image:title>
      <image:caption>I feel fortunate to have a job where I build relationships with people to help them talk honestly about their problems. I work primarily from a relational psychodynamic perspective, but with the help of other theories like existential humanism, Internal Family Systems, and CBT. I understand that sometimes therapy is about healing and “getting better,” and sometimes it’s about becoming a “better” version of ourselves. People use therapy in a lot of different ways.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Me - Dialogue, the secret ingredient</image:title>
      <image:caption>When I was in training, I made sure to work in a variety of different places so that I would be ready to work with a variety of different people. Everyone comes in with their own story and it’s important to listen closely to what makes you unique. Maybe you’ve tried therapy before and found the therapist’s silence to be less than helpful. You might prefer to work with someone whose style is more conversational, someone who will ask questions that make you think. Where we go and what we talk about are always your choice, but it helps sometimes to have someone who can give you a nudge when you want to go a little deeper.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Group Therapy - There is no part of our mental health that is not impacted by our relationships.</image:title>
      <image:caption>Moreover, If we’re having a hard time in life, then that impacts how we show up in our relationships. And because we’re all social animals, if our relationships “get sick,” then we’re likely to feel bad. Group therapy can help keep your mind “healthy” when relationships get “ill”. It can help you show up for relationships in ways that you’re proud of.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Group Therapy - How does group therapy work?</image:title>
      <image:caption>Group is like a scrimmage for real life. Groups give people a chance to do two important things: first, you’ll have a chance to talk about what you’re going through with peers who have had similar experiences. That alone is helpful, and it also builds trust with other members. Eventually, though, the relationships you build in therapy will run into the same kind of challenges as everyday life. That’s a blessing in disguise! Everyone is in group to learn about what makes relationships work. When these things happen, you’ll have a chance to ask, “Was there something that I did— or maybe didn’t do— that contributed to that moment?” And if so, what would it be like to do something different? Group gives us the opportunity to practice learning and growing in relationships— without having to have the whole world watch.</image:caption>
